RAIPUR TO FULFIL PM’S ‘SMART CITY’ DREAM: AMAR
In the year 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared to smarten up 100 cities of the nation under ‘Smart Cities Mission’ it was a matter of concern to get funds for developing old cities as per the standards of Smart City but ‘Raipur’ is about to fulfil the concept of PM Modi’s ‘Smart City’, said Urban Administration Minister Amar Agrawal .
He was addressing the inaugural function of three-day national summit on ‘Smart City’ here on Wednesday.
Welcoming the dignitaries, he said that experience and best professional practices of experts and public representatives would be surely beneficial for developing Chhattisgarh state.
He further said that Raipur and Bilaspur have been selected under 100 cities to be developed under ‘Smart Cities Mission’ while the state government has been executing development projects through municipal corporations of Bhilai, Rajnandgaon and Korba to be selected under ‘Smart Cities Mission’.
To mark 150 years of completion of Raipur Municipal Corporation besides the discussion on development works under ‘Smart Cities Mission’ project in association Raipur Smart City Limited (RSCL) and Elets Techno-media kick started its three-day national summit.
